Learn To Sew
WHEN: Tuesdays 23rd / 30th April and 7th / 14th May 2019
TIME: 10.00am - 12.00pm
WHERE: Sooz in The Shed Workshop, Ground Floor, Atlas Works. (Just inside the main arched doorway) CA2 5NB
WHAT: A workshop suitable for anyone who would like to embark on learning to sew. This four week course will cover how to use a machine, how to thread and insert a bobbin, how to change needle and feet and how to use the different stitches along with basic troubleshooting.
You will then go on to creating your own basic patterns and make some beautiful items with your own choice of fabrics. Each week you will make something different - a pin cushion, crazy quilted place mat, a tool roll and zipped pouches.
The course is designed to build your confidence in using a machine, and also giving you the knowledge to learn how to cut fabric and sew together to create something useful and pretty.
Each class will last 2 hours and includes all the material and everything else you need. We have our own sewing machines, but if you would like to bring your own, feel free to do so.
PRICE: £50.00 for all four sessions
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking. Please view our REFUND POLICY for more details.
