Joanne will guide you through making your very own top or dress in a simple manner, learning how to do a French seam and how to add bias binding. You can also embellish your top/dress with pockets, ribbons or buttons to make it totally unique. The pattern is by Rae Hoekstra and is a lovely wearable design. You will get to take home the original Ruby Dress pattern worth £15.00, so you can make more at home.
We will supply threads, embellishments (if required) the pattern and the use of tools, you will need to bring your own fabric as suggested below, I will email you a suggestion of where to buy.
This is not a course for absolute beginners to using a sewing machine, but as long as you have had a go and can comfortably thread it, then you will be fine.
Only 5 places available, so you can be assured you get lots of attention.
As Joanne is a visiting artist, we do have a minimum number of students required for this course to run, so please do get your place booked if you fancy it. If you wait, it might be too late :)
