The Atlas Works was an old Textile Mill, so it seems appropriate that we offer sewing classes.  Many other businesses occupy the mill too and it is like one big, happy family.

We have a ground floor unit which is literally three steps from the main street  (Nelson Street)  Walk through the Altas Arch and you cannot miss us.  It is on a good bus route (number 62) from town with the bus stop right outside the door.

There is street parking, if you cannot get parked on Nelson Street, there are numerous streets leading from it which will have spaces.  Some streets are unrestricted, but most are limited to two hours which requires a disc - you display the time you arrive  in your front window.  Classes will be scheduled so you can nip out and move your car if required.

If you have a blue badge, then you can park right outside, just check the loading bay signs and avoid those.

If you are getting a train to Carlisle, then you can get a taxi to Denton Holme for around £4.00 (regular day time fees), alternatively it is a 15-20 minute walk.

The closest hotel is Greysteads on Dalson Road, about a 10 minute walk from the venue, otherwise there are plenty of chain hotels in the City Centre (15-20 mins away)

We are dog lovers, and the chances are we will have our dog, Ruby, in residence.  She will have her own space at the back of the unit, separated by a baby gate, but if you really hate dogs then please let us know in advance and we can arrange for her to have a day away with someone.  Otherwise, she will be quite happy to have a pat and a share of your break-time biscuit.  Unfortunately we cannot have other dogs at our workshops as Ruby will get far too excited and just want to play.
